Lou, can you get some shots of that orange color we saw from the Darige from certain angles, or does the lighting have to be just right for that to occur?

When EB builds guitars with a deadline (like for an artist or NAMM) they sometimes build 2 of them because of Murphy's Law. The NAMM guitar was at the other meet-n-greet, EB surprised me and we had a twin at ours!

Lou, thanks again for coming down, and mega thanks for snagging that guitar!

See my in the case shot. Or are you asking for an outdoor one?

The case shot looks more gold (and is awesome), maybe you weren't with us at that point, but Lefty, Lisa, and I were off to the side of the Dargie when it was on the stand, and it had a very orangey/reddish thing going on. Maybe it was purely a lighting thing.

It wasn't red like it is here in the picture below (YouTube screen shot from a clip of TCOT), but it definitely had some serious orange along the sides.

Maybe it was just glowing with power knowing it was in the presence of it's soon to be master.

After spending a little time with it today, the new neck pickup rules! No mud. You can play high gain rhythm and it stays tight and focused while maintaining that sweetness for leads anywhere on the neck. The bridge is winning out over the D sonic as well. I need to A/B that more and compare to the original in my white sparkle.

Proto, that right there looks like a Cherry Burst BFR, not the Dargie. JP played it for Count Of Tuscany last night.

Pete if you watch the video I took it from it's the Dargie, I'll go find the clip in a minute.

Here you go, I found a better video than the one I took the screen shot from. Also if you watch any of the footage from the download festival theres a bunch of shots where it's green, but on the video screens in the background it's red, as if the lights are hitting it from a different angle.

Awesome shots Lou - congrats !!!

We've got the 1st run DD2 twins !

I'm sure our early shots of the DD2 finish will help sway some of the undecided to order - they certainly show DD2 in all it's glory !

Mine came in a BFR Case - not sure why ?

Lou, when you say that you can play hi gain rhythm on the neck pickup, do you mean it retains the same tightness and definition of the bridge pickup? If so thats pretty awesome.

Phil,

Yes, that's what I'm saying. The neck is bright enough that you can do some rhythm on the neck which I would not consider doing with the usual one.

I'm sorta glad I don't have a BFR case as I like the skb's better. They are lighter and they will hold up better in the long run.

There is somewhat of an orange hue from certain angles, but it's eluding the camera.
