An old mate of mine - Burke Shelley, plays bass in the band Budgie, and they are scheduled to play a festival in Poland very soon. The guitarist he is using is Craig Goldy who also plays with Dio. Budgie have been going a long time and have had their material covered by the likes of Metallica and EVH!!

Anyway he was saying that he needed to arrange some last minute rehearsals with Craig and was after a Marshall amp.

I told him that I had a Marshall and a Mesa and that I was willing to lend him an amp for rehearsals. Anyway, Sunday night I get a phone call from Burke asking if he can pop over - and pop over he does.

I demo the amps to him using my BCB AL to which he takes a fancy - I then go onto showing him my other 3 balls. He played all of them and knowing Burke as I do, he's not one for paying compliments when they aren't due.

He was really taken with the guitars.

So yes guys - I showed a Rock star my balls and he liked what he saw!!:D

Sort of on topic, I have seen Craig Goldy play with Dio a few times, and I thought he was really good. IMO the best guitar player in the Dio band (including Viv Campbell).

Yes they were - Roger Dean was the designer.

A lot of great song names too - Burke has a real sense of humour that way.

Check out some of the songs titles here - makes you smile.

He did a tour of Australia not so long ago and really enjoyed his time there.

He asked me to help out on tour - but I can't get the time off!! grrrrrrr ! I could have taken my AL with me!!!

Before my time, but I've got one of their albums around here somewhere. I'm a big fan of the power trio form.
