I got it Patricio, thanks.

Ok, I just sent another $135.00 to Erin.

that brings the grand total on my end to;

$5602.94

then, if you tack on the $750 Fingbeagles made in his auction and the $1950 Erin got back from Beaver, you have;

$8302.94!!!

amazing, amazing, amazing! There are good people in this world.

Idea.

With Erin and Sterling's permission, I would like to submit this whole story to Guitar World magazine. I think if they told this story in the Sounding Board section of their magazine and included my paypal address, we could open this thing up to a whole new level. I have an email draft ready to go.

What do you think?

I also think this story is newsworthy. With all the sh!t going on in the world, this could be a nice human interest piece. maybe we can submit it to some news organizations?

I think it's news worthy for sure. Not sure if everyone will give to a paypal address though. If this is a go, you may want to set up a Fund at a Bank so that it appears to be more legit.

Here is the link to the site:

Home - ClinicalTrials.gov

It is provided by the National Institute of Health and can be searched by type of cancer, type of treatment, location and/or sponsor (which includes drug companies introducing the drugs)

I saw that you were in Pittsburgh and UPMC has a well known cancer center. I have no personal experience with them but have been doing a bunch of research recently.

Good Luck

Michael

i have been looking i can;t figure out what site you are referring to?

I guess it got lost in the shuffle of all these threads..

Thank You Michael..

this does look like a very useful sight. Pittsburgh UPMC does have a great cancer center with some of the best drs in the world.. Unfortunatly my insurance won't pay for upmc.. So i have to go to allegheny general. It could be worse. I only live about 2 miles from the hospital so at least its convieniant. And according to my neurologist the treatment for my condition is basically the same anywhere.. I don't know if that is good or bad.. I will look into what is available and keep everyone posted. I have an apt on tuesday morning and hope to know alot more at that point.

Thanks

It may be worth it just to have a consult appointment there. Bring copies af all your test results and corresponding treatments. If they agree that there is an established protocol that works for your particular situation, then yes, your local hospital is probably fine. The clinical trial info is for more cutting edge technology, but also more experimental for situations that don't necessarily have established treatments with predictable success rates.

Continue to stay positive,

Michael

If only you guys knew the whole medical side of the story.. Forget whats actually wrong with me... but just the bureaucracy behind the medical treatment and insurance crap in this city... I mentioned i can;t go to UPMC because my ins. won't pay... I actually got admitted at one hospital, then settled in and was waiting for my surgery, when the nurse came in and said.. I'm sorry.. but your insurance company won;t pay for you to be here... You can stay, but you have to pay out of pocket...

I'm actually lucky i'm doing as well as i am or i think the insurance companies would have killed me already...

Sorry for the rant.. just reliving some past headaches...

THanks again Everyone.. This really has been Amazing...

its fine but I think that you really should talk to your newspaper either in new jersey or pittsburgh it could get picked up by the ap and get more potential donations that gw

I only say this is ok because of the potential of gaing more dough....I really dont do this stuff for publicity honest
