Spent an evening toolin around on my LEAL,(MM90's) and decided to fire up the trusty Marshall Silver Jub, which hasn't been fired up for some time.
I decided to try out some "wacky" settings on the Marshall and plumped for
25 watt setting
Gain 7
Lead Master 6
Output master 6
Treble 0
Middle 5
Bass 5
Presence 0

and played a (VERY) old fav of mine called Ballanese by a band called Wet Willy, followed by some Who power Chords a la Live at Leeds - shoot that sound smoked!! - can't wait to try out those settings live.

So guys get on yer rigs and try something off the wall - it's good to experiment :D

.. and of course, it wasn't Wet Willie, it was ZZ Top - (Thanks Catdaddy)

Now what the heck was that Wet Willie song I used ta do???
I vote for their version of "Grits Ain't Groceries." Maybe it was "Keep on Smilin'," or maybe "Weekends" if you were having a disco flashback.

maybe a bit off topic, but... ;)
I had several amps and ended up with Marshall :D
There's something magical about that sound.

There's "Marshalls" and there's "MARSHALLS" ;)

Missus is out, all on my lonesome, and switched to 50 watts - turned volume up so that when I hit a note the room shook!! - nice very nice !!

Right on Sir Spud, I too had the chance to let loose a little bit this afternoon with my Morse and it was quite invigorating

Yep, Fender Blues Jr. is sweet. It's a fantastic amp that won't get you evicted from your apartment - Scooby :) The Roland cubes are a good budget practice amp as well.

Experiment with settings on my Balls and Dr Z amps? yes!

just ran one of my Super Sports thru the Carmen Ghia hooked-up to a 112 cab and 210 cab. Volume @ 2:00 and Tone at 1:00. On the neck pickup with the tone rolled back to about 6 and movin' the volume from 0 to 10 brought some clean to mean in a very, very nice way :D:cool:

cheers always, eh
