Heck yes! I was wondering how I was going to afford that Big Al I'm gasing for. I'll pick up a set this weekend.

Regarding the EB coated strings......

What is "enamel"? Is it a gore-tex type of coating, or? The gore-tex coated strings I´ve tried has been a great disapointment and I don´t like them at all. I prefer regular strings easily over the gore-tex coated ones I´ve tried. I wash my hands before I play and wipe off dirt from the strings after I´ve played the bass and that makes the strings last abit longer. That does it for me. I´ve noticed that the gore-tex layer wears off from the strings rather quick too. Especially over the frets but also from playing with a pick. Finger style playing works. I don´t like the feel you get from the gore-tex coating and it does something to the tone as well. Is it the same with the "enamel" coating? I really should try a set. I hope they are better than gore-tex coated strings. Too much of a gimmick for me.....

Wonder if it´s the exact same bass and the same settings but with different strings in the recordings..... Hard to compare with different instrument even if it´s the same model and wood. And mp3-files too...... But expecially the fingerstyle playing does sound abit more...... mellow/less "alive" when compared to the stainless and the slinky sound clips. But, again, very hard to hear a great different in mp3-files. Will get a set and compare myself.

By all means ask your retailer about them but, at least out here out here in SoCal, nobody currently has them. Now I'm sure the EBMM folks may chime in with dealer that did get them but none at any of the major or minor shops I went to.

Like Zuma I'm going to have to order them online.

Ska kolla med Stefan på DLX. Dom ägs av EM Nordic som har den skandinaviska distributionen på Ernie Ball. Återkommer i ärendet.

I veckan lär Heinz dessutom dyka upp, vilket tillsammans med rosewoodbongon gör att vi borde ta en baskväll!

I dunno, the GC's by me do not have any Ernie Ball flats, so I am not too hopeful on them getting coated strings any time soon.
