Hey guys, to simplify my rig, instead of using a stereo cable, I'm just going to stay Mono, and use an A/B switch to send my piezo signal to a dedicated Acoustic Amp, or the main PA depending on where I'm at.

With that in mind, anyone have any recommendations?

I've heard that people get some ground hum or tone suckage from some. I'm not looking for a Y option either, a very simple, straightforward A/B. No fancy mixing or anything like that. And plain looking would be great too.

Thanks a ton!

Try taking a peak at the "Radial" web page, they have what many people consider to be the best pedals on the market. I've got a ToneBone Hot British that produces sounds that would make a Vulcan weep! They've got great AB stompers as well; worth a good look anyway. Good luck in your search!

Steve. Got a Morley A/B switch sitting around collecting dust. Ship it to you for a 10-spot. PM if you want it.

A word to the wise, though. This may actually complicate your setup a little bit. It will add a step or two to your tap-dance routine on stage.

I'm not familiar with "10-spot" in the English vernacular.

How is it though BK? Is it simple? No ground hum? True bypass?

It's OK. It's passive, true bypass, and pretty simple. I'll have to test it out for hum when I get home this evening. You can put a battery in it if you want the LEDs to work, but you don't need to. That makes it a little bit confusing if you don't put a battery in. There isn't any indication as to which side you're using that way. If you choose to use a battery for LED indication, you will definitely want to unplug it when you're not using it as it will completely drain the battery overnight.

10-spot = $10...basically you cover shipping plus a couple bucks and it's yours. It's in pretty good condition (not perfect, but by no means beat up).

Yeah BK, please test it out and get back to me, I'll be sure to let you know. Also, BK what are the dimensions, so I can rearranged my board as needed.

I did look at Lehle, and WOW, am I impressed. The Little Lehle can also be used as an A/B switch/Amp switcher too, and wow am I impressed. It's hard to believe that the little sucker is 3.5" x 3.5"

Sorry for being such a stickler about these issues. We do play EBMM guitars, which provide some unbelieably beautiful tone, and I don't want any secondaries or accessories sucking my Music Man tone.

Cheers guys!

Steve, just tested it out. I used it as an A/B between two guitars and as an A/B between two amps and it worked like a charm both ways. I didn't get any added noise from the unit itself, but you have to be careful if you use it between two amps. That COULD add some noise due to ground loops, but it's nothing a Hum-X or a built-in ground lift couldn't tame. If you're using a good power strip or power conditioner (Monster Power, Furman PL series) you should be alright.

Dimensions are 3"x5" (like a 3x5 index card) and all 3 connections are on the top side, so add a bit for cabling.
