Pickguards etc for Floyd Rose Silhouettes (UK)

Hi folks - I've got a Silo with Floyd and I'm just about to pick up another one to go with it.

However, as these are both H/S/S configs, I may want to change the pickguards etc to make them H/H with coil taps etc.....

I'm putting HotRails (or equiv) into the neck positions for now - but how do I go about acquiring pick guards for Silos with Floyds? I assume they are different to the pickguards often on here that are for fixed / vintage bridges?

Also, is the cavity under the pickguard pre-routed to enable a humbucker to be easily fitted?


Any help appreciated folks - Help me pleeeeease! ;o)

..hi..

..did the same to my two 1992 silos w/ floyd..

..left one of the pickguards in the guitar and had the new pickups soldered into it..

..changed the other one..got in contact with ebmm customer help via email and got the answer pretty quick (2 hours that was..thx a lot beth....)..BUT i had to buy it via the german distributor and it was quite expensive..AND it was not easy to get it unloaded..usually they sell it loaded with the stock di marzios..

..Pickguard Heaven: Pickguards for Every Guitar has pickguards..but i have no experience with them..

..be sure to use 500 kO pots (my personal point of view that is)..they did a lot to my sound..especially for the middle and the neck pickup..

..the routing is the so called "swimming pool route" (maybe it depends on the year your silos were built)..it takes any sc oder hb you want to put into it..

..if ordering the pickguard alone dont forget to buy the molex connector..

I just finished ordering 2 pick gurads for my Albert Lee BFR in White and Black.And they offer all kinds of options......i am at work right now but i will look up my bill and find out who it was again.They need about 2 weeks and shipping to produce all types of EB MM guitar Pickguards.Mine should be here in the next few days and i will show pic's of the actual guards so others know where to order them from.It wasn't pickguard heaven but will check once home.
