does a koa Y2D exist?
if so thats probably what ill start waiting and watching for
however im guessing the answer is no?

No, there are no koa Y2Ds - although that does sound interesting. You never know what BP & Crew will come up with (but I also suspect that Steve would have to approve it as well).

As others have said the Y2Ds aren't part of the BFR program; they are regular models. As others have said the only Y2Ds that were also BFR models were the ones ordered with the solid rosewood necks during that short window when those were available.

My two cents ... the Y2D was made in conjunction with Steve, to be an anniversary model. Killer guitar, the evolution of a production model.

Whereas the 20th Silo was something that came out of the lab ... the mad scientists whipped up what they thought was super cool and innovative.

So in that respect, offering us a limited sneak peak at that new design kinda makes the 20th the first BFR.

Yeah. I agree with Beej to a certain degree that the first real BFR was the 20th, because that's the guitar that really inspired the first BFRs, the JP and the Luke. If you recall, JP liked the 20th when he played it in BP's office. Then, BP said he'd make one for him in the JP guitar shape, and we saw it towards the end of Dream Theater's 2005-2006 20th anniversary tour. Then, Luke got one, which we saw and passed around in Dallas. Then, boom... 2007 was the year the BFRs hit the streets.

Oh man, what is it about the combo of a white MM guitar with that RW neck? Colin, that Morse is HOT! I've seen an AL, a Silo Special (Rob's), a JP and now a Morse in that color combo and they're all beautiful. Something makes me think I've seen a Luke as well. OK, now I REALLY feel like a failure for sleeping on those BFR RW necks. :(

you mean like this?
