Very, very, very cool! Great, now I have another bass to add to my favorites list!

Whatever retro you do, just please don't do the distressed/road worn thing that your competition does.

Me likey! Me likey lots! Me likey better if rosewood fb available and single cut-away. Seems like this isn't really a "re-issue" per say, but weren't the older Stingrays cut-aways versus slab? I know my '79 Sabre is a cut-away.

Absolutely NOT what I had expected. It's even better!

Bringing back the mutes! And adding string through body design.

Very nice!

I bet these will sell like crazy.

The OG Stingrays were slab and the Sabre was the first with the contours.

Meh, I hate slabs bodies. Sold off an early 80's Ray because I hated the ergonomics compared to my Sabre.

Very nice....however, here comes the dumb questions.

1. What the heck is a "mute" and why would I want one?

2. Slab? Meaning...one piece body?

Thanks.

Very, very cool! I like it even better because it isn't just a reissue but more like a 'modern classic' and keeping some of the modern elements in it too! damn, I should buy this and sell the real pre-Eb :D

The mutes are little foam pieces that you can adjust. They touch the strings and will give you that old school, solid thump with very little sustain. (They're adjustable, so you can have more or less as desired.)

The slab bodies don't have the elbow/belly contours.
