He he - Mini blues breaker, killer tone, so simple, but classic marshall in a box - and oh yeah - mine is signed by Jim himself!

I had 200 quid credit with a music shop so it's the only reason I went for one unplayed, but best marshall I've ever owned, - and that's a lot!

Any chance of a video? the marshall one i thought possibly let it down going by the subsequent Bonammassa video they had up.

Vox valvetronix as JonnyDubai said - great amps.

I used a 15 watt Fender blues Junior live and it was awesome!! - gonna get me one! -even so, crank one of those up in the house and its loud.

I most highly recommend the 50 watt Ceriatone "Overtone Special" (Dumble clone) amp.
It has two levels of built-in (controllable/variable) tube overdrive that is activated by a two button footswitch. I love this amp!! I redesigned my 50 watt 2-6L6 version to run 4-6550's. It probably puts out around 150 watts RMS. Even with the 4-6550's I can get the same great tube tones out of it at either low or high volumes.
I run it through a 12 inch ElectroVoice 200 watt RMS/ 8 ohm speaker in parallel with a small horn.

I built mine from a kit, but it is also available in fully wired form, I believe.

My 2nd choices would be either a Fender Blues Junior or a Princeton-Reverb amp.

The wattage isn't as big of an issue. More watts essentially means more headroom. Volumewise it's just a few decibals you are talking about. I have a 73 sunn model t and 4x12 for my live rig. A orange tiny terror with the mercury mag mod for recording and an orange crush 10 for practice. If anything I might check out the fender champion 600. It's under $150 and all tube. It only has a volume knob, so you might want a dirt box and equalizer.

If your band is running everything through the PA, then a 5-watt amp is all you need; a good 20 watt combo, like a Deluxe Reverb or a Mesa Boogie .22 Calibre will give you all the stage volume you'll ever need - and they are a lot easier to transport.

I know big amps are macho, but once you've grown up all you really need is the tone.

Yeah, I have the ENGL Raider 100, which is basically a Powerball in a combo amp. So, if you decide to get another ENGL, don't get a 100 watt amp because you will run into the same problem. I think if I had a Screamer, I could push it harder, but it isn't as versatile (so I hear). I love my amp, but don't get to crank it either.

What's the amp just by the doorway smelly one?

Hot rod deluxe Sir Spuds, waiting for you to come and give her a blast (assuming I'm still in the highlands after october 25th!)

There's a sovtek mig 50 under the marshall, and a marshal 5205, 3watt Blackheart modified and a line6 flextone III out of shot.... - seem to be amp collecting right now.....

Don't tempt me - a trip to the (ever so) highlands sounds like a great idea!!
