Neck pockets different on SR4 H and SR4HH ?

Just for fun I thought i'd try swapping necks with my SR4(maple) and newly acquired SR4HH(rosewood). I thought the neck pockets on all Stingrays were pretty much the same.To my surprise the neck pocket on the SR4 was smaller and the neck from the HH wouldn't fit.Just thought this might be useful info for anyone planning to do the same thing. I guess I should have left them where they belong anyways

I'm guessing one was the '04 in your sig, how about the other one?
Is it the 30th? If not, what year? That is an interesting thing to run into.

No, it's not the 30th. I'm not sure what year it is. I posted the serial # yesterday and i'm guessing i''ll find out Monday.

Yeah, I've found over the years that one can't assume anything with respect to interchangeable parts etc. . . , on any instrument.

They were ONLY designed (technically speaking) for that one instrument. Nothing to do with the quality of the gear.

EBMM quality is always top notch.I wasn't trying to imply that in any way.Just wanted to know if the Stingray HH was designed with a larger neck pocket than a Stingray H.
