Hello . been reading the forums for a bit and looking at the truly fantastic guitars you all own. (and drooling) . thought it was time to post.

my name is adam im from newcastle in the u.k . been playing guitar now for 9 months and im obsessed with it. i took it up when i was 16 (im 22 now) but i dropped it after about 6 months as i didnt really get anywhere with it. ive loved music all my life and have very ececlectic tastes. and my taste has expanded greatly through taking up the guitar. personal favourites at the moment are guthrie govan - joe bonamassa. (seen joe live in july after being obsessed with his playing throughout his career.and if u aint seen him live yet make sure u go at any cost the man is a genius. sat there thee entire night with my mouth open.) going to a demo night with guthrie later this year too which im looking forward too.

anyway gear: my favourite topic. although ive only been playing a short time ive always had an idea of my dream guitars and gear since i took up the guitar originallly. and now with being at work and having enough money i thought sod it im having it all. lol

i own an american fendeder strat(justsold a gibson les paul)and my pride and joy and the reason i sold the les paul my musicman axis in trans blue/maple neck/matching headstock. since buying this guitar its has put me off ever owning another brand of guitar. the neck is astonishingly good and like other people here it has improved my playing no end. im now on the lookout for a jp6 loaded in mystic dream , and a silo special (to replace my strat.)

any way here some pics of my axis.

Its trans blue , and it looks blue in the pictures but its more of a torquoime piour, which i love and i love the fact that theres never 2 the same. ive seen trans blues that are sky blue and ive seen ones that are greener than mine.

look forward to participating in the forums and aquiring more musicman guitars in the future. :)

Welcome - always nice to see another UK'er join.

You can tell that you've been watching the forum as you have not comitted the cardinal sin of not posting a pic of your guitar - which I have to say looks stunning.

Guthrie has got to be one of the best guitarists in this country and dare I say it the world!! He is such a player.

Hope you stick around - and give my love to "West Jesmond" and especially the Lonsdale pub - had happy memories of that area when I worked away.

Welcome aboard Adam

Spud beat me to it !! I think Guthrie rates as one of the most awesome guitarists on the planet.

Looks like you started the same as me. I sold my Les Paul and bought an ASS. Never been drawn to another brand since lol. (Maybe be selling my loaded JP6 2007 LE (Blue Dawn) though to fund my latest Ball)

cant agree with u more on guthrie . alien like . his album is one of the best instrumental guitar records of all time. ive burnt two copys out in my car cd player in the last month. ive been trying to nail waves and fives without much success. i think it will be some time before i can play any of his tracks in it entirety.

might be intrest in the blue dawn though mate. once u make ur mind up let me know and if u can send me some pics ill chack it out.

Welcome to the board.

I'm new to the EBMM board as well and I've had a great time so far, I'm certain you will too. Love that axis of yours.
