Yesterday, the Progressive Nations Tour was in Paris. The show took place in the Zenith (a very good sounding arena).
4 bands were playing : Unexpect, Bigelf, Opeth and of course Dream Theater.
Great show from Dream Theater and of course a lot of Music Man porn
John Myung played with three 6 strings Bongo (a gray one, a black one and a black one with a tortoise shell pickguard). John is really an amazing player.
John Petrucci played with a lot of BFR ... On Count of Tuscany, he played with a wonderful Cherry Burst JP (you know like Dizzy's one). Great sound !
JP has also 4 Mesa Boogie heads and 8 4x12 cabinets decorated with clouds in order to be matched with the set (the cabs were not miced, thus they were just there for the show).
DT played 4 songs from the last album : A Nightmare to Remember, Rite of Passage, Wither and Count of Tuscany. They played also the Dance of Eternity (one of my favorites DT song).
Great show, my only complaint is that DT played only 1h40 ... a bit too short.
