That Stealth/Ebony Bongo 5HH is ... not to be f***'d with.
Exact replacements only...can you imagine the chaos at the factory if everyone was allowed to order replacement parts every time they got a bug in their ass to change some particular option?
Don't fret, i would of course pay for their hassle. Thanks for the info, but i'm really not entirely convinced. I mean, they do produce those necks right now, don't they? They could produce one more, without a bodyI'd give it a home.
The Perfect Bass...

Hmm. This is interesting. An unlined fretless ebony board on a Stealth Bongo could be pretty tempting. Too bad nobody makes black strings in my gauges... but if they did, I'm sure a bass that black would probably condense into a singularity and kill us all.
Okay, so this is an option now? Ebony on Stealth?
Because if it is...I'm gonna have some saving to do.
Come to think of it, I already have lots of saving to do!
Someone hasn't been paying attention.
So it is?
No, I havn't been!

One of the reasons I can postulate about why EBMM doesn't do aftermarket parts sales outside of a one for one swap is that many years from now, when these instruments appreciate in value because they are "vintage", there can be no doubt on the authenticity and originality of the instrument being appraised. The factory archives will tell you exactly how it left the factory and what repairs were done to it so the buyer will know if they are getting the real deal or a modded instrument.
Two words...Brand Integrity. Opening the door to what you are asking for would be opening the door to undermining the brand integrity that I, for one, absolutely love about EBMM.

Pretty sure Ebony is the standard option on stealth now. I don't remember whether it was BP or Dargin, but one of them mentioned it right around Summer NAMM. I think that little bit of info was eclipsed by Dargie Delight II...
To me, ebony makes a Stealth just about perfect cosmetically. If ebony makes it's way to an Stealth SR5, I'm in trouble!
