Ian Thornley/ Relic'd Steve Morse?

Hey there,

I'm new to the board, because I am thinking of making the switch from PRS to EBMM guitars. I've really become interested in the Steve Morse model because of Ian Thornley. He has recently become endoresed by EBMM and plays a variety of Morse models.

I've noticed that one of these models is the blue - burst, but it seems as if it has been relic'd. Can anyone reccommend an outlet that will do this?

he probably "relic" it himself. i dont get this whole relic-ing thing myself i would rather do it myself over time and playing then let some body throw it around a workshop to make it look like its been played hard.

you can get a steve morse ordered from any ebmm retailer though . or find somewhere that has one in stock.

edit: I have to correct: I saw pics of him on this board (from his clinic), but didn´t realize him as an artist

I'm not really looking for it to look banged up or knocked around, but more "deliberate".

take a look at these great pics, and you'll see that the guitar kind of looks like it has been sanded down to the primer in select areas.

Yeah some people dig relics, others don't.. it's all good.
I can't really point you in the direction of a reputable relic-er, but hopefully some of the others may be able to help.

If you use the search function you'll see relicing comes up a fair bit.

I own also a Blueburst Morse and I am actively relicing it every day ... I started 8 years ago and I intend to finish when I will be an old man

wow really? That's cool bro. How long does this project take/how costly is it?
Is the finish the Morse Blueburst, or is it something else (the pictures are a little dark)?

get yourself some sandpaper/glass paper and save yourself some dosh. it does ad a little character.
