Hollywood GC is where my AL came from. KBaim, had seen it, played it I think too, like 3 years before I got my hands on it, as NOS.

AL's come with 3 MM90's. Axis Sports and ASS's come with 2 MM90's.

Best guitar ever? Hmm...there are so many great ones--mostly from EBMM. :D It's pretty darn good, I have to say, especially with piezo!

^ Glenn, That Al of yours is a legend. I never get tired of looking at it. I would love to hear it sing as well.

Why Steve are you waiting for the BP AL??

Glenn |B)

I love all the AL's.. the 'regular' model - both SSS and MM90, the BFR Pinkburst, the BP AL...

I will own one someday.. possibly my next EBMM. I can't decide which one though, and the choice doesn't get any easier!

I'll probably go SSS or MM90 though, because I already have humbuckers on the JP and Y2D, and I like the jangly clean of the single coils on an AL. It's the ultimate 'clean' sound.

But the MM90's are single coils as well, from what I understood, I could be mistaken here??

I tell you the MM90's cleans are clean man.

I wish my GC would stock some ALs. I've never even seen one in person much less touched or played one...

+1 I'd love to try out an AL. I'd pull the trigger on one, I just don't know if it's for me...I kinda want to try one out first.

I probably could get one shipped in, but unfortunately our store isn't probably a big hit on the ebmm sales maps... We have 4 ebmm guitars, a lot of basses but only 4 guitars. And of those 4, two have been there for longer than I have. I might trek up to Hollywood one day, but having taking care of my daughter, working fulltime, etc leaves me with very little spare time.

BTW GW, I'd love to see everything in your collection, it seems pretty fantastic.

Zomb, just ask them man, yo might be surprised, it can't hurt, beat you making a huge trip to check one out.

Thanx, my collection is really nice, as for seeing it, I'm in Mass, so your about as far away from me as you can get in the US, excluding HI. Hahahahaha.

yea - MM90's are single coils , overwound singles, brighter and meatier than trad. singles. the cat's meow.

but hey, Gibson invented them in 1946.

I meant more in the pictorial sense... Ha! I'd love to see my lady's reaction to that though... "hey babe, we are gonna go vacation in Massachusetts so I can check out this guy's guitars..." I think she might punch me.

Well, since GC doesn't have a forum where the Big Boss visits and entertains questions or interacts with customers and loyalites, you'll have to send the GC leadership a message or letter. It's a great way to get your desires or insights across. One could postulate that since MF and Amazon carry diverse offerings of MM that GC would too. However, GC has hundreds of stores and I doubt that EBMM currently produces enough guitars to fill every store with the full compliment, and take care of Japan too. :D:):D (but I could be wrong) Still you'd think at least 100 or so GC stores would have an Al in stock....right?? But I've never seen one in a GC yet either.
Here's a couple of links to GC company info.

Guitar Center: Information from Answers.com

since GC is a publicly traded company other info is also available here...

GC is no longer publicly traded. I believe they went private again within the last year or two. Marty is still the CEO. Great guy who actually pops in on this forum once in a while.
