Your Bongo only seems to come in focus when the blond is on the picture. Make sure all remaining pictures include the blond.

Awesome looking gig! I think I may be in love with her. And the Bongo for that matter.

By the way that first pic is genuinely incredibly cool, even with the absence of 'her'.

She is well aware of the fact that she is an attractive woman isn't she?

I love the gig shots though... the photographer knew what they were doing. The lighting is great too.

What kind of tunes do you all play? It looks like you all are having a blast... which makes me think the gig was a blast for the audience too! :)

"See I reckon you're about an 8 or a 9,
Maybe even 9 and a half in four beers time.
That blue top shop top you've got on IS nice,
Bit too much fake tan though - but yeah you score high.

But theres just one little thing thats really really,
Really really annoying me about you you see,
Yeah yeah like i said you are really fit
But my gosh ......... don't you just know it"

- Fit But You Know It - The Streets.

These really are great shots, thanks for sharing.

That's why I am never in a band with a woman singer. No one notices the rest of the band.
I really like those pictures, any idea what kind of lights are behind? LED?

Oh yeah. Can't blame her really - it does sell.

What kind of tunes do you all play?

This band (coincidentally some of the same people I play with in the Grease/Saturday Night Fever tribute show) is a dance/party covers band. We play some Motown, seventies and eighties disco, some Anastacia, Kylie Minogue, Shania Twain, Gloria Estefan, Pink, Robbie Williams, George Michael, Ricky Martin etc.

Not my cup of tea by choice, given I'm a rock and blues dog through and through, but there are some groovy basslines, I get to play with pros in good venues, I don't have to schlep a PA or drop posters around to venues, and the money is a lot better than I'd get playing Deep Purple and Led Zep covers in a pub.

That said, I have other outlets for playing rock and blues in my other bands :D

I think what I see in these pictures that really matter are FLATS on a Bongo?

Can you confirm this please.

Correct, those chromey ones.

but dude burn that shirt...

LOL. I can see why you'd say that. Our male vocalist spends a couple of months in your part of the world every year (he has a recording contract in the UK) and he was telling me that the nightclubs are full of blokes wearing track pants and football shirts.

My view on band clothing is that we are there to entertain, so if we just wear the same as the audience, there's really no point. ;)

any idea what kind of lights are behind? LED?

The lighting guy only scratched the surface while we were playing. This venue is the largest nightclub in Australia, it can hold 2000 people, and the PA and lighting is amazing. I think you're right about the lights right behind us - they look like a massive LED array.

By the way, the guitarist is 58 - he's such a cool dude and a very tasteful player. His tone is like Santana's, lovely and creamy, and being Filipino he's a walking jukebox - never needs charts or cheat sheets. I just give him the set list and the keys, and he's good - he didn't even come to rehearsal for this gig, and there were 4 or 5 songs we hadn't played before until the gig.

Man I love the buttercream finish on a Bongo! Nice pics :)

I'd love to find a 5HH Bongo in buttercream! It would fit nicely with the White 4HH and Egyptian Smoke 4HH Bongo's I hhave now. Maybe someday...

Nice shots. Buttercream looks really good on stage.
Great shirt. Really compliments the singer's top. And her blouse, too.
