Since seeing Steve Morse last week, I have been re-inspired by his music and his playing all over again. Not that I stopped being inspired by him, but I'm sure you guys know that sometimes you just start exploring other musicians and music and stop listening to some other musicians that you love. Well, Steve Morse is my main influence and the reason why I play guitar and also brought me to EBMM. After seeing him last week in NYC and listening to his album I have not been able to stop thinking about his music and his genius as a composer and a brilliant guitarist. I have JUST been listening to Steve's music (Steve Morse Band and Dixie Dregs...and about to load up Deep Purple material onto my iPod with him.).

Anyway, I wanted to hold off on getting artists signature models...to be my own player with my style and not necessarily be pointed to as a Steve Morse wannabe with his guitar...but I completely fell in love with the Y2D and the Standard model as well. SO, when I have money that will BE my next guitar.
I just wanted this thread to be a dedication to Steve Morse, his musical genius, and the absolutely amazing and beautiful guitars he plays! I honestly have no idea which Y2D color I will get eventually as I love all three. Lets see them ALL!

Let there be Steve Morse guitars!!!!! :D

Two of my favourite ... bindlingless Y2D proto and the double quilted Morse.

(That's Tommy holding the guitar and Skoots, Steve's old tech, in the photo.)

Brilliant guitar!!! It really is something totally different from anything else...exactly like Steve is totally different from all the other players out there.

How about some more Y2Ds? I've seen a whole bunch, but I'm sure some of you fellas have a dedicated space on your hard drives of these pics :D.

Just like the AL, the SM model didn’t get much luv from me until I started seeing more & more pics here on the forum. Now I love them both. Thanks for all the pics. I just added all of them to my ever growing EBMM pic collection.

wtf is that, never seen that color before.
question to BP/EBMM....have you ever considered putting Y2d colors on production BFRs? I know they are Steves colors but geez they would just look so good in a JP, and you said one of the main issues is constantly changing the paint machines and since theyre already being used in production it might be easier???I would want to have the Purple Sunset with purple pickups and everything haha

Thats what I'm talking about :D! It really seems as though some of the bursts have either a lighter or darker shade, especially with the Purple Sunset. I love all 3 finishes, but the Purple Sunset is really special. The bindingless proto looks AWESOME as well as the blue quilt like Beej posted. I was thinking about a flame Y2D, since my 20th Silo is quilt, but the quilt on the Sunset makes it look darker which I like much more. Such a beautiful guitar! Thanks for the pics...anybody want to add more??? hehehe :D
