Just been given the Joe Bonamassa live at the Albert Hall, London, UK, DVD for my birthday. Had to wait until the encore to see the 25th anniversary hardtail. What a brilliant guitar and head and shoulders above any others he played.

I really love JB's les paul tone, its fabulous. Big and string and full of class. Hard to tell if the 25th would do better for the rest of songs, but it does sound good in the encore. I think the classic LP tone will always be part of his sound, its in his blood.

i would have him sign my face if i got close enough. but i think the restraining order might prevent that. lol

i thought joe used the 25th on the second track on the dvd from memory . i bought it on release day and that was the last time i saw it so it aint fresh in my memory. i dont think he used it when i seen him play in april. i think he used two jps from memory. absolutley awesome. bloke is a guitar god.

I bought the DVD when it released too..I have always loved Joe's tone, and I have been a Gibson Les Paul fan since i was a kid and really liked the tone Joe gets from them, but i really enjoyed the tone that Joe was getting from the 25th on the encore it was different in many great ways, and i'm glad that Joe is really loving EBMM right now and hopefully for a long time.

I was lucky enough to see joe in Glasgow earlier this year, he has a tonne of EB guitars, and puts on an amazing show - somebody recently posted a HD you tube clip of Mountain time,

The reason I got a hardtail rosewood 25th was because of that clip figured the darker wood and fixed bridge would be a great combo- and whilst I have 0.00000000009% of the skill joe has, mine sounds exactly the same when I plug it in...

Rob, I honeslty think you'd rip arms off if you tried a 25th -it's got the AL cleans, but it's also got big as sounds when your dirvin' - I'll try and put a vid together....

But it won't sound like Joe !

BP - can you get Joe to join here??/ - he has his own forum but it's not as good as here......
