im interested in roasted necks. can someone tell us (...me) of what it does to the guitar tonally?

Looks like it gives the neck a very unique aesthetic quality. I would be interested to see if it makes the neck feel any smoother.
Don't they have a lacquer finish? I do think so...
I would think there would be a laquer but I would also think cooking a lacquered neck would cause the wood to expand and the laquer to crack?

Pardon me, for invoking another brand name beside EBMM but.....
Are roasted EBMM necks similar to Suhr vulcanized necks, in respect to the fact that by "roasting" the neck, it makes the neck become more stable to warpage and changing climate conditions?
Understandably, the aesthetic reasons alone make it worth it. I was just wondering if my above theory might also be true?
