I'm gonna have to go with Brown and BP here.

It's in our nature as Knuckleheads to somewhat take the misfortunes of a competing company as a means to celebrate the benefits and privileges we have here.

But I've never seen any good use in celebrating because of another person or company's misfortunes, even if they are in the wrong in the end.

Everyone makes mistakes, and bashing because they do is pretty hypocritical. Just have to sit back, let due process and justice take its course and hope all that needs to be done is done.

Expression is good within reason. I just would love for everyone to hang in the center for awhile and then we can decide how we want to deal with it.

But what have I done to deserve mentioning that there are no environment threads here?
Maybe because we have won awards before it was trendy? Maybe because we voluntarily submit to inspections?

I wasn't saying anything about how you do business or source wood. I was commenting how some forumites will use this as ammo for bashing Gibson. Sorry if I offended you- not my intention. I just hate to see threads that descend into bashing other brands, when we are/should be above that.

By the way, but do you think anyone will ever get a their own signiature Luke or AL? (other than Luke or AL!!!)

Staying in the middle is the name of game....and even if I tend to be polemic easily, I'd definitely regard Gibson innocent unless proven guilty. Period.

Europe is getting flooded by mass production cheapo sh** from China sold through Ebay "dealers" to kids that have no idea what they're buying there...and were all those woods come from  Those planks get dumped only some two or three years later because those kids either quit guitar playing or have already outgrown that non-playable rubbish. And then it lands on the waste hills in Nowhereland... :(

China is one of the biggest wood importers in the world...

Ball told his IT department he wanted Microsoft products out of his business within six months. "I said, 'I don't care if we have to buy 10,000 abacuses,'" recalled Ball, who recently addressed the LinuxWorld trade show. "We won't do business with someone who treats us poorly."

Wow, that's awesome BP... I wish you ran our company.
