I'm curious as to why a JP would not be a "metal" guitar. You can get it in Stealth black, so the de facto metal color is taken care of. The only real difference I see is that it doesn't have sharp body angles and a pointy headstock.

The SUB was the perfect metal guitar. With a metal pickguard, can you go wrong for playing metal ???

metals for... **** :D:p

All black AL with EMG 81/85.

Pointy enough? lol

The Axis is a metal monster and the JP is imo a very metal guitar but still looks conservative enough so you don't look a douche.

So what is for you the definition of a metal guitar ?
If the sound is good for playing the Dark Eternal Night, it should be good for playing all the metal repertoire ...
If you need to have a pointy guitar to be a metal guitarist ... well it's because you're not truly metal :D

Romania ...that's a country ...in Europe :))
dwells, let's keep our heads up.
thinking rational involves accepting that we are all subjective, and that is more obvious when taking art for example as music is :)

I am not an EBMM fanatic , but I think JP model does it all for a metal player.

maybe it would help a few hints from you : what is a metal guitar in you opinion?

JP is a signature model, and DT is not metal you are right, but progressive metal, and that is an eclectic style of music, right? so metal is there also :)

the fact that not many metal players use EBMM come on it is not a solid argument, let's be realistic.

there are many reasons to explain the choice of people :)

serious how many top metal players play Ebmm ??? hardly any ? Why hmmm

That's bull****. But even if it would be like this way, every tone you want is only a pickup swap away.
