Hey guys,

Gonna buy my first stingray4 soon.
I've been looking for a Dargie Delight for awhile. But probaly too late now.
But any idea where i could pick up a Dargie?
It would really really help! :)

Additionally, any other unique colors out there?

i dont know if they make trans teal anymore, but that was an awesome one, i got it and its crazy, it goes from this rich sea green in bright light to this dark hunter green in normal light, its an incredibly dynamic colour. i dont know if they make it anymore though...

oh and olympic white is pretty cool from what ive seen as time goes by(30 years) it turns into this odd off white/yellow color, i dont know if thats the guy who was taking care of it or the nature of the color, probobly the guy taking care of it, but still really cool how it yellowed out.

It's not too late to buy one already on a store rack. Look up some of the big MM dealers, several of them have DDII's in stock.

This place has about four of them;

Thanks guys.

But they don't stock the pickup config i want.

Just to ask the pros here.
What's the difference between a SR4 and SR5 in terms of tone.

Nothing, the pickups are the same, apart from the coil tap on the single H sr5

Also if you really want a dargie, you can't really afford to be choosy, they're not going to last long.

sorry about the sarcastic remark before... I'm really bored and couldn't resist!;)

what pickup configuration do you want, and why, if you don't mind me asking... it would be a good idea (if possible) to go to a local EBMM dealer and try them all and see what you find... you need to listen to them and go with your gut feeling. I am quite sure that no matter which one you get, after you've played it for a while and have actually LEARNED what it's capable of, you'll be able to get more tonal variations out if it than you'd expect (afterall, it is an EBMM you know...)

Thanks guys. For the sarcasm as well. Haha.

Yea since it's a dargie, probably don't have much choice at this hour.
I'm looking at the HH pickup config. Basically for more tonal variations.

The only problem...

I live outside of the states. I know Bass Central has them. They even have the Stingray 4 HH. It's just that they don't ship internationally.

Finding a used DD2 at this point, which is the only way a dealer could ship to you, is going to be nearly impossible. My guess is you're going to have to find a local dealer unless you're willing to change your desires for a DD2 and maybe buy used from one of the guys here.
