I'm hearing about some new 'classic" line..that was introduced at the Bass Player Live show,I'd love to see pics of those..
I've seen the all rosewood stingray on MM's site, the SLO Dargie's stingrays are neat,
I'm shopping for a new bass, and It always seems that as soon as I buy something, a newer, cooler model gets released a week later.
(same thing happened when I bought my 32 gig Ipod Touch, they came out with a 64 gig!)
sooo..
I'm trying to get the inside scoop, anything new to tempt me for 2010?

Have you tried searching the forum? "Classic Collection", "Bass Player Live" etc being good keywords to start with.

You should try not to worry about this. There is always going to be new stuff, and the thing you buy (if it is from EBMM anyway) will ALWAYS be great. Yes, there are limited editions, rosewood necks, anniversary models and all that. But when it comes down to it, all these basses are fantastic. I do not think I need a 25th or a rosewood, yeah they're nice - but I've got a Ray and a Bongo and they're great.

So bottom line, buy a Bongo.

Big AL 5 will be introduced at NAMM also. I am looking for the tread where BP talked about this on the geetard side. JOSH

Gc Exclusives are color and maybe a few gingerbread.

We will introduce the Big AL 5
THE BP 3H AL
THE DOUBLE H AL GUITAR
SOME ROASTED BFRS...gamechanger
And some other tricks and treats.......

The best part of the down turn in the economy is it allowed us to bring forth products and ideas that we couldnt previously...the bad part is that the market is dead.

Thanks for the thread!

BP also mentioned a 10th Anni. JP guitar. So looking like another big year. I don't think i can afford another year like this last one! JOSH

I'm still hoping for a production model based on the 25th.

I wonder, it would be so good to have 25th 5 string with single H but with Sterling's split pickup option (coil1 + phantom) and with piezo!

Of course, other features of single H 25th 5, including serial/parallel mode and 4 band EQ!

After loooong thinking I realized, that's the way it should be my dream Music Man bass!

P.S. ...maple FB for sure, but considering also whole RW neck BFR too! :p

I'd love to see more options..
a Bongo 4 HH with the SLO jazz width neck..

more funky "color-changing" candy-apple sparkly colors

bring back Desert gold,it was such a perfect color,
maybe white?
or how about if they made an all-rosewood Bongo, like that SR on Musicman.com ?
I bet that'd be beautiful.I'd buy one in a flash.

...he says in a time when it's nearly impossible to keep up with all of the new options coming out of the factory.

BigAl5
Reflex
New colors
Passive
Ebony Stealth
Game Changer
Classic Series

That's a ton of new options right there, and I'm probably missing a few.

BP - will the reflex only be available in the same finish it's in now, or will it be available in the standard colours without the maple cap or with the maple cap etc etc? or is this something we're going to have to wait for?

My guess on the reflex is that it will be available in the same colors/finishes as the Axis guitar.
