Ok, its in German sorry... and probably not a lot of people will be able to follow what he is talking about, I can just about get a few sentences when he is not talking too fast, but... if you fast forward to the 7 min mark, you will hear the difference between the amp played 100% solid state and then 100% tube and that *ing impressed me, I tell you!

Check it out

It would be interresting to compare this one to the GB shuttle 9.0 or a shuttle max. As far as I can hear from the vid it sounds very similar to my shuttle 6.0.

I understand German, 'cause I was working in Germany and learning in school, so let's see...

Very interesting presentation!

It's basically a technical kind of presentation, but this guy also play well, just have wrong bass!

Personally I prefer this half-half tube-solid state mode, sounds the best to me!

But I must add, I was talking about that on some of previous topics, well in this case I'm not sure, 'cause this guy didn't mention that, but, ...but I believe that this valve/solid pan pot have influence only to the preamp section and power output is always solid state?

Correct me if I'm wrong, 'cause I don't know tech. spec. of this amp?

Anyway, beautiful bass amp in a small package!

No, nothing on official web site of the Markbass factory, just regular technical specs, nothing special about built in sections and amp construction!

However, it would perfect match with mine Sterling and 2x10 cab! :D

If that little package had a tube power section, it'd be, like, 5W.

Actually on the specs from the MarKbass website the following is shown;

CONTROLS
GAIN 1 -60 dB to +23 dB range
GAIN 2 -60 dB to +23 dB range
MIX
mixes tube and solid state "gain"
MASTER VOLUME
LINE OUT LEVEL
GROUND LIFT
switch on rear panel
PRE/POST EQ
switch on rear panel
MUTE
push/pull on master knob

If it says that the blend operates between tube and solid state "gain" by gain I am sure they mean the power section of the amp, i.e. not the preamp but the power amp.

Personally I am loving that demo and as soon as I am ashore I will go and try it in a store.

I enjoyed the demo as well.
I can't imagine that box having a tube power section in it. It appears to me as though they are copying Genz Benz by allowing the using to mix tube and SS pre gains.

Yeah, I didn't thinking that way at the first place, but I should, 'cause that's my occupation  so, according the output power rating, output section is transistor powered for sure, well that means that we have inside two preamps, one real tube section and other solid state section with pan-pot mixing between those two!
EQ section is somewhere between preamps and power out section!

In that case that's really interesting bass amp for sure! ;)

Does anybody knows aprox. prices in EU?
