I finally got my very own Albert Lee!

I was holding out for a newer trem version but I couldn't pass this one up. It's a 1995 pinkburst. It has a fair amount of dents and dings but I guess it means it's been played a lot. The neck has beautiful markings: slight flame on the top end and lots of birds eye.

It has a set of Lollar pickups: neck and middle are Lollar Blondes and the bridge is a Lollar Blackface with a base plate attached.

The guitar is incredibly light and I just love the way it plays. Wearing this guitar blows any of my strats away. It's just too comfortable!

Last night I took it apart to clean it up. I'd like to get a pearloid pickgaurd and probably a good case since it only came with a gig bag.

Thanks to Robelinda for getting me hooked on the Al! :D

Congratulations.

I can tell you, you will grow to appreciate those dings and nicks. I know that on the Axis's I've owned, they were so pretty that it kind of hampered the playing experience. Every time I picked it up to play it at a gig, I would be worried that I would put a nick, ding, scratch, or whatever on it. At home, I would practice on my "Beater" guitar, and leave the Axis in the case. It really did effect how often, and how vigorously I played them. When I got the opportunity to get an EVH, I got one that was in player's condition. I've got to say, it's made a world of difference. If it would have been in mint condition, I would have been ten times more careful with it than the Axis's. As it is, I can actually enjoy playing it, the way it should be played.

Awesome!

Even the dog is super happy for you! LoL!!

My dog spent a good minute or so sniffing out the guitar. I think she was trying to figure out where it came from because it was new. Or maybe the previous owner had a dog or a cat?

I tried to get a better shot but she was more interested in a gecko in the garage.

Yep. This is a players guitar and that means it will probably stay out of the case and be stuck on my guitar stand most of the time so it's ready to play! Looking forward to it!

The old pinkbursts are classic - I have one too.

Yours has a very nice neck! And it seems to be a one-piece-body.

Congratulations, welcome to the ALOC
