:D So I treated my 4-stringers to a "photo shoot" after restringing and giving them a good cleaning. I haven't done any "poser shots" :D for well over a year now.

It's difficult to capture the black sparkle and the mint pickguard, but I'll get there someday. :p

Enjoy! ...and Merry Christmas!!!

T Alan, Your bass returns me every time on the beginning, I mean, when I look at this classic, I realize that Stingray 4 + standard alnico single H + piezo + fretless board = one and only fretless bass that any bass player needs! ;)

By the way, when I watched carefully this photos, well it's very visible that You set it up very versatile, believe me I can see that just looking those pictures!
...and almost can hear it streaming!

Wonderful bass indeed! :)

I love those shots. EBMM bases deserve good photography skills!

I loved this bass the first time I saw a photo of it and I love it more and more EVERY time I see it. I love the black sparkle with that pickguard. That unlined board screams "Play me!"

Black sparkle is so hard to photograph! It's generally just black, but if a ray of light falls on it in the right angle, it all of a sudden gleams like a thousand stars in the night.

I don't think so. If I remember correctly, Black Sapphire is not a deep black, but a slightly tinted black (blueish grey) metallic paint. The discontinued Black Sparkle as shown above, is deep black with metal flakes in there and does not look metallic or shiny if it is not exposed to direct light beams. However, as you see above, it comes to live when strong lightning is applied.
