I think most of us missed the point... His Son is a Lumber Chucker (aka. Drummer)... sorry to hear that man! He look young though... there may still be some time... haha.

Seriously though, Jamming with your Son must be an amazing feeling!!! Some would even say its so amazing and inspirational that you need to boot your bass player out of the band after a HOF career... nah, nothing like that would ever happen. Ill be very happy some day if my Kids (when I have them) are interested in learning to play any instrument.

Thats awesome. I was so close to buying a drum set for Tom, he really loves playing them the shops, but I got him a keyboard first, he is only 2 after all! Next xmas i'll do the drums, electronic ones.

You must be the cool Dad, as back in the day only the coolest Fathers would allow a drum set. I can remember my friend Mike back in the 70s wanted drums so bad I went and borrowed a spare set my friend Raymond had for him and put them up on his top floor for him. After 3 days I heard no more drumming as his old man sent them packing.

Violin can be tough for the ears ... One of my elder brother played violin. The first year it was really awful because it's so hard to play in tune. Violin is really hard for beginners.

But you're right : Kids + Music is really a great thing
