I am sorry but I just can't lie to you about that one, infact I have no shame in admitting that the last few nights before it arrived, I've had to take Nytol to help me sleep, while in the daytime I have had to take those horrible chalky heartburn remedies as the nerves got the better of me. However playing your existing basses and trying to take your mind off things by learning difficult songs helps a great deal.

Try get your head around Jaco's "River People" it's a lot harder than it sounds, getting the tempo right and respecting the rests is the hardest part (see attached scores) and if you haven't heard it before here it is: Click here

Ok, time to resurrect this thread. I ordered my Bongo HH on December 12th (not sure when they placed the order with MM). I have saved some coins (which in Canada can add up quickly since we have $1 and $2 coins), sold some unused gear and diligently made payments. All I have left to pay is a mere $300 now, which the store will get when the bass arrives. Didn't use the credit card once.

So...when do you think it will arrive? Will I have a second Christmas in February or March??

Seems to take about 3 months if your order it from Music Man (via your favorite store of course). So, if you think you can save enough shekels in 3 months, why not order the exact bass you want? This process has been fun actually. And waiting + paying cash makes it much sweeter.
