I'm now offically an ALTOID.

The Dargie Delight II fretless Big Al I bought from DavidJ in the For Sale section on this forum arrived yesterday morning. It took almost 6 weeks to clear Customs and be delivered due to the Xmas mail congestion and public holidays.

Initial impressions? OMG!!! AMAZING!!! I cannot believe the build quality, the tonal variety or the neck. Perfection!

Out of curiosity, does anyone have any idea how many fretless DDII Big Al basses were made?

Meant to mention I had this bass shipped neck removed, without the OHSC to save money.

When I received the bass and was setting it up I was absolutely AMAZED at how tight/snug the neck fit was - outstanding

Thanks again David! I can relate to that sentiment - funnily enough, I was playing Big Alice yesterday and wishing there was a 5er of this instrument available too.
