Thanks to Keith (fingbeagles) I'm now the proud owner of a 2009 Axis SuperSport Rosewood with MM-90s (being a 2009 and one of the last one's made it has the BFR logo on the neck). Unfortunately it arrived at 6:00 pm on Wednesday of this week along with sub-freezing temps and incoming snow, so I wasn't able to do more than check it for shipping damage until today.

This is my first go-around with an Axis of any kind, so I'm coming to grips with the flat top after years of playing either contoured bodies or carved top guitars. Aside from that these are great guitars. The rosewood neck is fantastic; now I know why the PRS crowd calls this "crackwood";).

I had an AL with MM-90s before; I think I like them a bit better in the Axis SS format - they seemed more like fat single coils in the AL, they are a bit closer to traditional P-90s in the Axis SS. Sonically it seems to fall between a Tele and an LP Jr. while also being it's own thing - very very cool guitar!!

Here are a few photos:

Thanks guys. I've now both sold to Keith and bought from him; he's a true gentleman to deal with.

Since I've come to find that a Silo Special (SSS version) is the "Strat" that works best for, I think I might have found my "Tele".

I've still got a Silo Special (in Olive Gold) coming some time this month, so I'll soon have my "Strat" back in the arsenal. Once I have them both I'm going to have to get a "family" shot for my avatar.
