I have had a set on for about a month now 100-45. They replaced a regular slinky set 100-45. Tension seams to be the same. Tone sounds like a broken in set slinkies. Feel is a bit different in the beginning. It has kind of dry feel, almost like some stainless steel strings I have played in the past. But without the harshness on the fingers. The dry feel now seems to be fading. Starting to feel more like regular slinkies. I have only logged about maybe 6 hours so far due to a busy work schedule.

I assume you mean "i don't think i would like to go back to using the non coated again"... correct?

How long have you had 'em on?

thanks

I had loads of fun today when I wanted to buy a set at my favorite shop... lets just say it involved the EBMM website, a lengthy call to the distributor, no price and an ETA of "at least two month"

Oli or anyone in EUROPE who cannot find them in their shops, please note if you want me to get you some EBMM strings, I'll be happy to buy them for you and post them to your 'stination, just ask. This will not be in breach of international distribution as it is within the Free States of Europe!
Not United yet but still free! :D

I've found the best dealer in town so I can get you antything you want.

How do these compare to flats?

Wondering what to change to next. Either flats, these coated or just plain old slinkys.

And so i installed flats on my Bongo. A couple hours later. I got a ring. And i need to do a showcase on the 18th. It includes a slap section and tapping section.

So I'm thinking. Should i swap out the flats and switch to these coateds? or just stick with flats. But slapping on flats ain't bringing out any nice sounds.
