<edit>....the amount of personal pen pal email with all of customer service is what our guys and gals should get the nobel peace prize for....you cant believe how much of the in box are forumites chit chatting or asking questions that are already answered here....Oh well

Can we e-mail you instead BP?

I've never had a pen pal....

Come to think of it, I've never had any normal pals either....

Oh well, back to being master of the internet!

I'm thinking that a call/message to the manufacturer's CS after spending a large sum on a fine, limited, high end instrument is quite within expected customer service expectations.

And there's the origin of the problem.

If it were one call, one email, once in a while per Forumite, then perhaps we wouldn't have these discussions.

But it is not. I appreciate what you're saying, I really do. But CS should not be overrun responding to people from the Forum.

If you see what I'm getting at.

Im glad you see it that way. THe customer ends up paying for it.....

I would agree with you if there wasnt two layers of compensated service outlets that were being circumvented.

Also I might add we did not turn him away...we helped him.....even thought there was a distributor and dealer there to help.

I had to turn of my pms because those are the kind of things that people would write to me.

Project....Since he bought an expensive bass how far up should he be entitled?

Step 1: Contact Dealer

If Step 1 fails proceed to

Step 2: Contact Distributor

If Step 2 fails proceed to

Step 3: Contact EBMM CS

why so hard?

In all fairness, I am thankful to PB that CS did respond to my email in regards to my issue so let's not give them a hard time for doing so, I have apologised and admitted that I shold have contacted S&T UK instead (which is what I will do in future henceforth) I am already in the dog house as it is for not contacting Blind Lemon & co. so I hope this thread is not going to end up being locked because of it.

The issue in my case was not a defect or a manufacturing fault, it was just me not being used to single coils on an EBMM bass and this was nicely fixed by a tiny foam pad.

randracula's post made me realize that I might have posted a few threads as to how good this bass is, and perhaps he is right, but everytime I take this bass out of the case to play it I relive the same excitement and emotions that just inspired me to write about it... you try one and see what I mean :D

BBQ with the boss? I hear he is a mighty good grill master. ;)

Now I´ve bought SEVERAL expensive basses. I think that I should be allowed to sleep in your bed. Without you being in it, sire.

And Musicman Nut? What would HE be entitled to??

No more jokes..... ;)

I will be happy to bbq for you but it has to be in the swedish summer and you have to have some swedish assistants!

Fran You arent in the doghouse . Please understand that this concept is hard to explain to people ....That the access to the people at the heart of the company via the forum creates a sense of familiarity and entitlement. All good things. I just need to try to rope it in. It also gives us a chance to discuss it like with Proto who believes that when you buy a product if gives you the right to access whoever you want regardless of the support system provided....All good.

Hey BP, I don't think that's in reference to me as I haven't done anything like that, but there isn't another user with Proto in their username.

Sweden welcomes you. And I´ll ask my assistants to come along. Here they are:

Yes they are mini bikes but I don´t know the fellows. I was only kidding around since I took for granted that PB was opting for swedish female blondes and not hairy guys. Now who on earth would think that a lad like me knows beautiful woman? Naive thinking, indeed. Those two fellows are two english lads by the name of Simon King and David Myers. They are known as "the Hairy Bikers" and they have a food show on BBC. Hilarious! They rode those mini bikes in a bike race on Isle of Man. Crazy and very funny.

Absolutely lovely dialect!

*Edit* Found a clip from Isle of Man. :)
