Hey,
I just down a deposit on a Bahama Blue Flame JP6. I didn't purchase it yet because I'm still waiting to see what NAMM brings us. The guy at the store, being very nice, took some pictures of it for me to see. The color under the poor, artificial lighting of the store looks a lot darker. I sent the sales guy a picture of the same color and top of taken outside under good lighting, and the sales guy said that the top on the guitar he had in-store looked better (likely a sales tactic). So I need your opinion. Do you think the top on the guitar that I will likely buy, will look brighter, with more articulate flame under better lighting or is this the best it will look? Please note the first picture is the sample picture I sent the store for comparison, it is NOT the same as the guitar I am buying.

so will it look more like the sample pic I sent them?

No. None of those pics, including the sample look much like Bahama Blue in person. Though the darker ones, are closer to how it looks in regular indoors lighting.

Maybe ask him for the serial number and then do a search within the BFR photo thread? Bahama Blueburst is a great color and I wouldn't expect that guitar to be any different. The photos of the guitar make it look a lot more blue than it looks to the naked eye. It is really more of a blue/green color.

Even the official pictures are off. Along with the now discontinued amethyst color, the Bahama Blue is one of the toughest finishes to capture accurately on camera.

I was a Long & Mcquade in Vancouver (terminal location) today and one of these were on the service counter getting a polish. Is this the same guitar? If so, the flame and colour blending to the darker black edges was amazing. The top under natural light or better lighting will be fantastic!! Good luck.

This is the closer to what the color looks like. I found it hard to get the color to show up with indoor lighting, and flashes turn it greenish so I took it outside but not in direct sunlight.

This is what happens indoors with a flash.

Purchase?

I was at the same Long & McQuade and noticed that the JP BFR flame bahama burst was no longer on the wall. Did you make the purchase? If so, amazing guitar.
