Wow - this is like the film Bruce Almighty where God makes bruce god for a week - I feel like I've had BP's job for 8 hours, no wonder he looses his cool from time to time!

Ok guys, this isn't going to be a painless discussion as change never is. Thank you to those who think the call should be down to me, it's a huge honour but to be blunt I'm not as creative as some of you - if it were up to me a 2H AL in a sparkle finish with an all rosewood neck and a decal calling it the knucklhead would keep me pretty damn happy until my time on this planet is up.

Spud, I really like the idea of dedicating it to the lemon (especially if we succeed as he'll get stiffed with 50 of these bad boys!) - Pete works VERY hard and goes the extra mile for us knuckleheads, and always asks not to be thanked publicly for it, - so if it's ok with you guys I'd like something of him in it.

So if you're asking me to pin it down, there i've done it - Sparkle coloured 2 H AL rosewood neck and special decal.

However to find 50 of you who want the same - Glen, Rob, you guys are probably easy ? - but one of you in the US and one in OZ - does that complicate things, are we now looking at 70?? -

BP you work hard for you money sir, and if anyone dares question the work that goes into anything you do send them to me - I'll explain how hard it is - and this is just one element -I'll pay your prices, I see where the money goes!

So who wants a Limited AL? - These are gona be so rare you'll have people begging you for a shot.......

HI Larry, I'm taking advice from an expert in sparkle finishes, Glenn came up with Black Crystal Magic, MidNightBlue Sparkle, Pink Sparkle which I think are all great ideas, - love the blue - and pink -

As for the UK/US/Euro thing, That's not something I can answer, BP's intial post said that it was the distributer that would take the burden (I've still to ask Blind Lemon directly, just getting things right first) - but I presume as your in the US if it were a solid order then there's no need for distribution - or it's all done in house - BP?? - how about it if US residents were to be in the 50 is that allowed? -

There you go smelly, you just made this so much easier on all, by saying this is the spec and well you should, your initial idea!

While sparkle is cool, I do like them, I have a New Mint Green Rosewood HH AL on the way very soon

That would be kinda cool. A subtle yellow sparkle, rosewood neck, and the blind lemon decal. Could be a winner.

I wonder if they could do a "Lemon Sparkle" finish? I've always liked yellow, as long as it's not neon. Lemon or Canary yellow sparkle would look pretty good, too.

Time to go find a yellow sparkle something.

This is coming together really well. I think you did the right thing by taking charge otherwise it would have run away with ideas by now. Like you said, it's not about everyones custom shop guitar.

Shame about HB, SC,SC Al I thought that would be great.

But, seeing as we can't have any kind of SC, is it worth trying to put forward 25th parallel/series switch to get a few more tonal options.

Love the rosewood neck, Al body 2 HB spec.

Love all the decal ideas in honour of Blind Lemon too.

Waiting on the colour spec next but it's shaping up to be a really exciting project.

As LIMS is moving to October by the looks of things, it may be asking too much for October delivery when we'd be gassing for April/May/June delivery, but it would be good in a way to coincide with LIMS as it's BL's last LIMS (potentially).

I'm watching this thread very carefully Smelly, and looking forward to a final spec.

Have on think on my comment re elctrics as not everyone is a big fan of HB pickups.

I could see a Lemon Yellow Sparkle, that might be pretty cool. I had a lemon yellow sparkle bike as a kid, sort of Chartruse kind of thing.

I like what I hear so far - color will be the deciding factor - I also totally dig the "Knucklehead" decal pic from above - nice! SO - how about somebody starts mocking up some sparkly colors? Or just some pics of other sparkles to get the idea tossing.....

I know there are some good PhotoShop artists on this forum and I’m sure they chime in soon after seeing this thread with all these posts. My PhotoShop skills only take me so far like designing a headstock like the 2 I did on page 9.
