I have been thinking recently about the perfect combo amp to be used with the JP's dual outputs. After reading all posts regarding this it seems the suggestions fall in two categories: a. use one regular and one acoustic combo or b. use regular combo and a PA system.

Now, let consider for a moment that none of these solutions is practical. For example, what to do if you have one amp and play in a small venue (coffee shop) with no PA?

So, ideally there should be an amplifier with two channels - one for electric guitar and one for acoustic. I did some searches but was not able to find anything even close to this.

The solution I am considering now is to buy a 2 channel acoustic or keyboard combo amp and run the mag output trough some amp emulation box (Line6, AxeFX, etc) and the piezo trough the second channel.

Please let me know if you have tried some similar setups. Also, general comments regarding the feasibility of the idea will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

My "theatre" rig (for doing PIT gigs) is a digitech GNX4 into an EV powered Wedge (sXa250). Has every patch invented for mags side and is pristine full range input for Piezo. AND you can carry it all in one trip! portable, powerful, versatile.

No, I just need one electric and one acoustic channel.

This is interesting, cause I imagine that since the popularity of piezoelectric pickups aren't widespread there wouldn't be too many widespread applications of this in a readily available product.

I know how you feel, but I still think (considering tone is paramount here) that using a dedicated electric amp, and a separate dedicated acoustic amp/PA is the best way to go. Via A/B, Splitter Box, or TRS Cable, I still think its the most practical option.

Sorry if I didn't help much.
