Well I havent bought a new guitar since the Silo I bought last December. In the 18 years Ive been playing guitar Ive bought anywhere between 1 and 5 guitars a year. This is the LONGEST time Ive went without getting a new one.

Im really gassing for a Mahogany guitar. Ive got my Silo thats alder with a maple neck. Ive got another guitar thats swamp ash (I wont drop the name of it but I will say it rhymes with Sender  ) So Im really wanting a mahogany body guitar.

I know EBMM ALWAYS delivers the goods. So Im asking for some opinions.

As for tones Im big into Andy Timmons, Yngwie Malmsteen, EVH, Petrucci. Im currently running my guitars thru an Egnater Rebel 20 with 2 Black Star Preamps and various Overdrives and a Vox Time Machine for some smooth delay. Id like it to have a trem and it has to be a 25.5" scale length. So what do you guys think?

Surprisingly.......get an Al HH. Mahogany body, HH, 5 way.

Oh, and then replace that sender guitar with a regular Al SSS.

That's my suggestion.

I’m with the majority with a luv on for the new HH AL. The Reflex does offer more sounds though. Play then pay.

The 25th (and I'm sure Reflex) is freakin' fantastic. Just came back from jamming with mine ... such a rich sounding guitar ... I still can't wipe the smile off my face :)

(Of course I'm sure the HH Al is too.)

Well I went to GC today and played some really great new EBMMs thru a really killer new amp. Maybe you guys have heard of it. The Mesa Boogie Mark V....

First up is the JPs.....

First was a cherry JP F1 and second was a blue JP BFR. These are really great guitars that played just great. The tones were awesome! Not your typical alder body with 2 hums tones. The tone blocks and mahogany necks make for an extremely full sounding guitar clean or dirty that just begged to be played fast on. My only beef with it was that the neck is a bit too thin for my taste. Other than that, they were superb. I totally loved them.

Next was a 25th with maple neck and rosewood fretboard. Played great. Felt great, like a pair of warn in jeans. Sounds great clean/dirty/plugged or un plugged. Superb tuning stability! The sustain was just killer. The Pickup options would make this a session players dream! The feel was just awesome!

But the one that really blew me away the most was the Black HH AL with Rosewood Neck and trem. The neck was perfect! That rosewood is just in a class all its own! Its shape was amazing to say the least. It fit my hand like a glove. The trem stayed in tune better than most floyds do. The tones were really nice as well. Im interested to hear what the Crunch Lab and the Liquifire would sound like in it!

So Im kinda interested in an AL now! But I still think Im going to wait to see what new versions of the 25th and the JPs and Silos come out this year. Mahogany 25th with rosewood neck would be it for me!

Well you have the jpx which will have the chambers and a 5 way switch so its pickup selector choices will be in line with the HH Al and the 25th but with the liquid fire and crunch lab voices. Also keep in mind that the HH Al and 25th have the same pups. I say get the HH Al mod it so that you can have a push switch between series and parallel and you are good to go
