OK, and this video should be the answer to all those "how to set my XX bass to get YY sound", in that it shows how the same bass through the same rig with the same settings played by two different great players can sound quite different!

Great jammin' all guys, but talking this Big Al H, it really sounds great, no matter who playing, BP or other guy (don't know him but he's great player indeed)!

Anyway, Big Al sounds to me like improved standard single H Music Man, but have one advantage, the 4 band EQ! And it's spiced with brave design from my point of view, but for sure will attract some new Music Man buyers!

I'll stick with classic EBMM design 'cause I always wanted a Sterling, since I was a kid! Finally dream comes true last year , now searching for a new Music Man temptation, something much different, considering Bongo, but waiting for incoming Reflex!

Even it sounds and looks great, the Big Al is not for me I think?

I don't think this bass has a GC in it. As far as I remember from the other vids that bass had some kind of burst finish and the SSS -configuration.

If I remember correctly, the Big Al sports the single H from the 25th, which is a Bongo bobbin, with ceramic magnets wound to StingRay specs. A best of all worlds humbucker. THE humbucker. I hope this will also be used in the upcoming Reflex.

I watched some more of the clips of Johnny Hiland from this NAMM show. He is one smokin' f*****g guitar player! His phrasing is sometimes reminiscent of a pedal steel which is very hard to pull off on a standard guitar in what appears/sounds to be standard tuning. This guy's brain has unique "wiring" and I mean that in a good way. Very creative, fluid and clean playing.

I hope too! I'm potential buyer of such a bass, especially if it will look similar like 25th!

Question: is it possible that future Reflex model comes in 5 Hp (single H with piezo) configuration. That's the bass I would buy for sure!
