What neck shape is the 25th's considered to be? I was playing a few EB's yesterday and liked that one the most. I want a petrucci guitar, cause i like the pickups / look / tone / piezo bridge and control placement... but I'm wishy washy on the neck shape, it's a little to thin for me to love it. I found that the 25th fit into my hand, with no gaps and was just comfy. I'm not keen on the control placement, nor do i need the pickup combinations.

How do all of the other models necks compare to the 25th?

Can anyone recommend or does anyone have any thoughts on how to get a neck like that with the petrucci layout?

PM's are fine if someone wants to mention another brand.

It's very close to the Silo shape, but not exact. It feels a bit wider to me, but not much. It has a nice C shape to it.

It's the Silhouette Special neck. Some people find it similar to the Silhouette, but to my hands it's quite different. (I have a harder time on the Silo for whatever reason.)

That makes sense as the Silo Spec and 25th have 22 frets where the Silhouette has 24.

I agree, the Silhouette and 25th feel very different. I don't get along with the Silhouette at all, where I get along great with the 25th.

Um, guys...since the 25th/Reflex body is just the Axis body expanded would it stand to reason that the neck would also be the Axis neck? I've tried searching for the 25th model's development thread and got lost in the deluge of posts, but I'm pretty sure that the it's the Axis's neck on the 25th.

It is not the Axis Neck. It is like Beej and I said, the SS with a 12 inch radius

All I know is, the 25th has an insanely comfy neck.

But I have big paws, so neck issues have never been a problem for me, just time to adjust.

When you've played the Les Paul's baseball bat neck for 10 years, anything in the EBMM feels wonderful. Seriously.
