lmfao...Dude, you're cold!!!
no, just honest. I showed those colors to a bunch of musicians, and non musicians. Not one single person like them. My guitarist said it would only look good if I was playing one while wearing one of those old Blue Ruffle Tuxedos. But hey, its just my opinion, I know there are a lot of people who like them. I do like the Dargies and the olive golds. The only other stingray color I completely despise is the stealths, they just scream out boring.

id hate to say it but i like the heinz in some lightings, or at least that particular heinz. does anyone else notice a huge color shift in different lighting scenarios with the trans colors? i always thoght so, my trans teal is hunter green in my basement, bright teal in the upstairs and an even more lush blue/green in the sunlight.

as much as i love the seafoam green, powder blue and coral red id probobly agree to that to an extent. they do look a little too vintage. though a lot of those colors were offered back then those colors look like they belong on a set of late 50s early 60s guitars. most of the 70s rays ive seen are sunburst or one of its varations, or unfinished. i personally love the colors though and think they're great. and i know that seafoam green actually was offered back in the daaaaay.

seems to me the early Rays only came in white, black, burst, natural and rarely trans red and the rootbeer brown. I suppose there were other colors but those freaking all of the b0 basses I have seen are those handfull. The classics are kind of like one of those cross generation star trek episodes. a "what if". What if they had made 5's? Or issued basses in another companies 60's colors?
If I don't but a dargie II , SLO special or an olive gold anything (Love That Color) I am so gettign a classic 5 in the white. Unless at some point in the future they issue a more interesting color. An they have been saying they will rotate available colors.
I am hoping for the above mentioned rootbeer or maybe trans red? But hey long live the classsics whatever the color.

To me, the whole "Classic Series" is wierd. But it's probably something that works for the market. I hope so for EBMM. For me, a "real" classic would only be StingRay 4 in black, natural, vintage burst, rotbeer or inca silver (yummy!).

I do like the new pastel colours (and white pickup covers), but would prefer if they were available as standard colours. The limited run of GC "classic" (with standard oil & wax finished neck) is rather what I'd probably order if it was available in Europe. But I'm also waiting for an Inca Silver classic... and the Classic Series coming out as ebony fretless.

I've never been a huge fan of the seafoam green either, but do like the classic appearance. Hey, man don't knock the blue ruffle tuxs...Our Fathers probably scored with the ladies wearing those same color tuxedos! :D

Green is my favorite color. Fender had a beautiful 'sage green' finish a few years back..

Im torn between powder blue and mint green for my sterling. Leaning towards green, because I guess it won't be selling well. I really wanted a trans teal sterling for a while too.

I prefer the darker greens though, not the bright kelly or dargies.

Oh yeah inca silver, how can I forget Rick James and his inca silver Ray?
Ebony is also my favorite f-board wood. So many rays so little cash.

i would have traded my trans teal for an envy or sherwood green those were two of my favorites but the envy green only came with ughhhh gold hardware. now gold hardware isnt always bad but the reason pimps wear gold and green is "one is for the honey and the other is for the money." and that is a quote for i saw it on a pimp documentary on HBO at 5am. seafoam has always been a personal favorite of mine but honestly i have no idea how a 2eq sounds and how easy i would have a time making my amp make it sound like my 3eq and honestly i dont have the 1800 for it :(. and im not willing to sell my trans teal either.

Calaveras, Why don't you do what I did- Get a Slo Special/Dargie II? It's the best of both worlds!!!

My Dargie II is a Slo Special.

Oh that is surely an option I am considering. I believe Basscentral has a couple in that category. As well as some other beast I would like. I am considering selling my fretless and one or two of my keyboards to pick up a new ray. Of course that would mean being ray-less for a little while!
