I just watched the Michael Jackson movie "This is It" tonight and I noticed that one of the guitar players Tommy Organ was using a couple of Balls.
The first one looked like a white Silhouette or Silhouette Special, and the second one I think was a BFR Luke. Even the bass player was playing a Ball.
No Fenders or Gibsons on that stage at all!!
It was kinda cool to see. And you know anyone who was good enough to play with MJ would have had to have been a serious guitarist.
Didn't get to see him or Orianthi really show off too much, but there was a bit where they got to play.

Paused my Blu-Ray copy of This Is It right when you could see the front of the white guitar. Tommy was playing a Silo Spec there. The other one was definitely a BFR Luke when he and Orianthi had their little show-off time.

That seems to happen. Someone in the band gets a ball and next thing you know, all the basses and guitars owned and played by the band are balls.

I'm not sure why this phenomenon happens.

My bass player has 12 Balls, EBMM must be doing something right. He turned me onto them, got a Luke and the rest is history.

i thought Tommy Organ is a great player, he's somewhat overshadowed by Orianthi as far as publicity goes, but his guitar contribution on this is huge, most of the cool funky rhythms are done by him.
The fact that he chose a Luke during his big solo section speaks for itself, great choice.

I really enjoyed the This is it video.
Really
That was amazingly entertaining
The show he was putting on was going to be huge

The sound quality even for the way they recorded it was AMAZING!

I felt really proud to see Tommy Organ was playing EBMM's

I never made it to the theater to see it.
Is it a worthy DVD purchase? Or should I just rent it?

Rent it....it's basically a long video log/documentary. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it's not something I'll need to see more than once.
