I put this as OT because Tommy isn't a MM artist, but he's an absolutely phenomenal and talented musician. Just got back from the show. Wanted to share this with everyone because of Poppa's other post about internet heroes, and Tommy took a great deal of time to talk about music, and how its important that we share it. Reminded me of the other post.

Anyways, thanks to Tommy and his manager Gina, my friend and I were allowed to meet him backstage before the show took place tonight in Malibu. Tommy is one of the most important musical influences on me, so I thought it right to have his signature on my 25th's back-plate!

Oh Dizzy what surprise  did your wife set you free from your G-String ? :p;)

HA ! - for fear of derailing Scoob's thread, I'll keep the G-string updates to the G-String Thread :D

PS : Judge Tommy's humour for yourself :

The real question is, "Did Tommy take it for a spin?" He needs a good electric...

Yes, he has a great sense of humor, did not know that. Very funny and humble guy.

The show we had for some reason went on for a little over 2 hours. Two set show.

He did a lot of covers too. Lots of Chet Atkins (of course) Django Reinhart and a few songs by the Beatles.

He also did a special tribute to Les Paul. He spoke for a while about his relationship with him and Les Paul's achievements and played a very personalized rendition of his "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for Les. Very special moment.

If anyone gets a chance to see him live, DO NOT miss the opportunity to!
