I went to my local GC yesterday. I love in a small town and my GC never has anything good (except some EBMM Basses). It is so small they just about don't have any USA Fenders very few Gibsons and very few PRS. You guys know it is small if even the "big 3" are not representing their USA models there. The last time I was there (a few months back) PRS was starting to make a push and sent them a few newer toys. So while I am standing waiting for the guitar department manger (he has bene my go to guy since he was a part time guitar guy)and behind the counter next to the PRS and high end Used guitars I see a REFLEX! I pick it up to just hold it since I was shocked. I already have a 25th so I know what she wil sound like. When I put her back I notice out the corner of my eye and HH AL! I pulled her down and something that I would never think happened happened. While I was there strumming her unplugged (I had back surgery 3 weeks ago and I can't sit in front of an amp and play) loving the RW neck all of the guitar sales guys came over one by one and told me how much they love it and how amazing it sounds and that they all wanted 1! The could not stop talking about the tone and the feel of the RW neck! They know I love EBMM and they always said stupid things because they have never tried one but the AL is changing minds.

I asked what they thought about the Reflex one of them says "I don't like it" he is the one that al;ways makes the craziest comments. i said have you played it. To my surprise none of the sales guys have, they have all been stuck on the AL. He said it looks like the "used P-branks EVH we have here. What is so special about another single cutaway HH guitar with a hardtail and RW fretboad? The web site doesn't even list the Reflex on it!" Needless to say I schooled him on the EVH thing as well as the Relfex. I explained why it is not on the site yet and how it is the 25th production model. I gave him the full lesson from cover to cover and ordered him and the other guys to try her out. The all seemed super interested once they found out just how different that black single cutaway HH hardtail guitar really was. I think my GC is becoming an EBMM believer and if they hopfully one day I can see more balls there.

By the way they said the EBMM Rep brought those two guitars in personally. They were super impressed by that and said he was a cool guy! Looks like EB migt be getting a few more "hooks" over at GC!

it's funny how people really don't pick up initially on how special the EBMM brand is... UNTIL they actually pick one up and play 'em. I was in my local GC a few months back and there was a real young cat playing a PRS. Once the salesman left I politely inquired if he had considered a EBMM and I happened to be playing the 25th... so i handed it to him and he just loved it. He and his dad were both impressed with the wide range of tones and quality of the instrument.
I think the art of knowing the products you sell is slowly fading away. For me anyway once i picked up a EBMM guitar that was it and i'll never play anything else (except my acoustic) ever again.

I didn't get to plug the AL in. I love the 25th! With that said I am sure I would love the Al too. I have an All RW ASS and I love the neck profile and feel. The 25th has the same pups as the ASS. The Al also has those same pups. The neck is all RW (which is just awsome) I liked the Al's neck profile and the body is all Mahogany. It is a winner in all catagories. I wish I had an all Rw neck on my 25th too. I am sad that neither the AL or Reflex will have a piezo. If either of them had it that one would have been my next ball.

Broken, nice story man. If I had to guess, I'd say it was Glen that brought the guitars to your GC. Glen's a great guy!!!

Haha, this inspired me to go up to my local GC yesterday to see if they had them, because I hear they're popping up everywhere. Nothing, just a Pearl Redburst JP6 they've had forever. They had a JP6 BFR and a 25th before, guess they were sold.

The BFR JP sold and the 25th had to be sent back to get fixed. Also, Cherry Hill's GC has a BFR JP6 (Cherryburst), a black Reflex, 2 25ths (one quilt, one flame), a GC exclusive Axis, an Axis Super Sport and I think thats it. :D

The are supposed be better stocked that the one here. I have only been there once or twice. I have a feeling that if mine has them the ones in ORL will have them too. With that said depending on which side of ORL you are at my GC is only 40+ min away and it is in the Shadow of I4 the main interstate here. Take less than 2 min to pull into the GC once you exit the interstate. The currently have a Reflex, HH AL and a Luke

Well the last two years the only new guitars I checkout are EBMM. No one even comes close with the most wild assortment of wicked colors and they just keep pumping out new and exciting things instead of sitting on there laurels like everyone else they keep on putting out better gear.
