Cleans on JP

Well, I took a chance and bought the JP. It should be here Friday or Monday. Hoping Friday. Next I need a Silo Special.

I also have the push-pull-tone knob added in my JP6 (non-BFR) so that I can also use only one coil of each humbucker if needed. The difference between this and MusicManJP6's version is that in my version's center position both humbuckers are always splitted (so that in live situation I can switch easily between humbucker mode and splitted mode). The cleans are just much more better with splitted pickups, both with only one coil or two coils from each humbucker.

Its probably pretty simple if you know how to solder guitar wiring.

It's easy although I had mine done by a authorized luthier 'cause he replaced the faulty pickup switch at the same time (it was still under warranty).

Only thing you need to do is replace the tone knob with push-pull knob and add two wires (to connect a coil from each HB to ground when push-pull knob is pulled).

someone had posted a wiring diagram of it on here somewhere.... can anyone find it??

The cleans sound best in the middle split position IMO. The neck humbucker clean is great too. The bridge also sounds good but I find myself using the middle position the most.

If you can't decide between a JP and an SS... you should get a regular Silo ;-) Sounds silly, I know, but wouldn't a Silo be the perfect middle ground? Anyway, to me it's EBMM's secret gem.

Wold love to but alas I am a lefty. Never understood why they don't do the regular silo in a lefty. Maybe one day I will be famous and commission one.

Sorry man, didn't mean to poke fun at someone less fortunate... I truly believe all lefties will be able to play real guitars, when they cross over - just remember two pieces of gold and you'll be rocking eternally!

No problem. Being a lefty has actually saved my marriage. Can't tell you how many times I have come across killer deals on right handed guitars. I would have hundreds by now.
