See, I may be missing something, but all I got from reading 10 pages of 'WOW' comments is that the finishes will be rotated and that people think that these are beautiful.

Are they a limited run?

I linked you directly to Dargin's post in that thread, which said

"The current plan is to debut these at Winter NAMM and rotate two colors per quarter"

So, not limited.

Is the a reason why either you or kevins couldn't find that information using the search function?

Haha, yeah I got that, but to me, rotating 2 colours every quarter means a quarter of a year, not a quarter of eternity?

But I suppose the word 'rotate' does suggest a continuous cycle...

I'm just thinking out loud now.

Anyway, I have come to the conclusion that you are trying to tell me that they are not limited.

Thankyou Aussie Mark, you have saved the day again :)

I was wondering too, and had not found the an explicit answer anywhere, but did not want to bring it up myself. But now, I'm satisfied with the outcome!

It's a plan. Besides the we all know now that there are more than 2 colors so I think that after taking in the info on the past threads, it is a fair conclusion that the info is inconclusive and the question remains unanswered. Although it can be argued that everything out of the ordinary production is limited. If it doesn't sell then it gets killed (making it, in effect, limited)

My thoughts exactly, but expressed in actual coherent sentances and real words, fabaroony.

It looks like the original 'plan' of rotating and all that didn't pan out. You can order anything you want and it's not limited- they are on the price list with normal lead times running about three months (I'm told).

that was the impression i got too. i looked around before posting, believe me. and i thought maybe a thread out there adressing that question might help others and myself if it was answered in a thread that had signifigantly less posts on it and was a direct question.

thanks for the help anyways

My kevins-o-meter was redlining.

it always is...any reason you find a reason to insult a dude on the internet ever opportunity you get? my personal favorite was when you made me out to be an ignorant jackass for the rather commonplace mistake of "calling a business after hours thats a couple timezones over." lots of places are open after 5.
