May not be the right place to ask this - is it possible to order replacement necks? There's an AL I've got my eye on that has a maple board, but I think a rosewood board would really set it off.

The AL doesn't have a rosewood board as an option but it was offered on the annual LE models for a couple of years. I know I've seen rosewood board ALs in both the 2006 or 2007 LE models (2006 was black with gold hardware, 2007 was Blue Dawn). I don't think the 2008 LE (Sequoia Gold with gold hardware) ALs were available with rosewood boards but I could be wrong.

Even scarcer would be a Dargie Delight or Dargie Delight II AL; they would have ebony fingerboards.

The new AL HH has a solid rosewood neck; that's a bit different in feel and sound from a maple neck with a rosewood board.

Yep mine is a 2007 Dargie with rosewood neck. And Jasaon L knows very well the HH AL as he won the Guitar Premier contest :p

Oops - I thought that name looked familiar. And I stand corrected; for some reason I thought the original Dargies were ebony (like the Dargie IIs) instead of rosewood.

The ebony board on the Dargie II was a bonus and complimented the pau abalone inlays even more! The rosewood with the martini inlays worked well, also.

Obviously you're more into the Dargie 2 fretboard, Pete. Why don't you send that Dargie I over my way and I'll make sure to take care of it for you :)
