I just bought a brand new EBMM Axis with a floyd rose. First of all, this is my first EBMM guitar. I have owned just about every other make of guitar known to man. This guitar is fantastic. I don't understand why this guitar doesn't get more attention. I already think I'll buy another for backup.
I do have a question though. Is the floyd rose on this guitar supposed to be level? I've never seen one like this, with the stop on it and all. Mine isn't level and the action seems a bit high. Is that normal for this guitar?

Thanks, Jeff

Welcome to the forum, Jeff. I don't have the Axis so I can't comment on the Floyd but there are plenty of folks on here who can speak volumes to it.

Floyd should rest on the body flat and parallel. Then all you'll probably need to do is adjust the truss rod a bit to get the action to your tastes.

Just did this for my newly delivered axis but I let it sit out a couple of days before adjusting to let it get right with the weather here. If you bought it from a store, you should be able to just adjust the truss rod and start rockin'.

Read this as your guide to adjusting the truss rod in the neck.

Welcome to the pond, brother

...although I really don't believe that this AXIS is existing, as I can't find any P-I-C-T-U-R-E-S-! :D

So come on, we need proof of AXIStence ;)

Toronto area guys. I was just at the Scarborough L&M and they have a BCB non BFR Axis. Killer quilt with a killer neck. If I were working, it would be sold.

Jeff I suggest the following, go and book the guitar and tell the guys you will take it in 2 weeks time

With that motivation you'll get a job within the next 2 weeks and.........the guitar ;)

Ha, I wish it worked that way. I would kill to have that Axis. Its been 2 years now with nothing in sight. L&M have an excellent monthly payment plan as well.
