Ok, I'm being sarcastic...

As an honest person & proud owner of a 20th Anniversary SR5, I'm once again amazed with people on ebay... As far as I know (and I admittedly don't know much) They never made a 20th SR5 in any other color than California Sunset, but this appears to be another attempt at "The Saints Bass" angle... Although it looks like a very nice piece, i'm pretty sure it's not an anniversary model, unless maybe he bought it for HIS anniversary... Am I wrong?

yup.. standard sr5 body where the 20th has the sr4 shape, or these days also like the classic sr5
also, the 20th has been made in black for tony levin. he still has one, the other one was auctioned away for casey lee ball foundation and is presently in the hands of that bearded swedish chef in shorts ;)
there were also 10 sr5 made in blue. ebony fretboard and the first 10 sr5 bridges ever made. i know the dubaldos has/had one.. beautiful axe!!!

i do hope nobody on the intarweb will fall for that ad though.. that would be ripping someone off :steamoutofears

yeah, I forgot about the black one that Mr. Levin has... but I didn't know about the blue ones... I'll have to search for pics.

PS, the "Saints Bass" is still being listed on the bay too, it's still "one-of-a-kind" but the reserve hasn't been met yet :)

His specs are wrong, body wood is not maple and the switching is completely wrong. Other than that and the fact that he has it miss-represented as a 20th Anniversary bass, it is a very nice SR5 HH at a more than fair price. However, I would contact the seller and ask a lot of questions and demand more and better pictures before placing a bid.

Probably a very wonderful bass - it does make you wonder where he got the Anniversary idea. Original owner? Who knows.
