I am amused at all the posts on whether to hang your bass or leave it on the stand...put it in the case etc.
I am currently on tour in Europe which has had one the coldest winters in 100 years. Due to the way our tourbus is packed ,my two Bongos have lived in sub-freezing temps in the back of the bus and then brought into a warm concert hall and then brought back out to the cold temps to spend the night in the bus.It is not possible to bring them into the hotel at night.
While I do not recommend this treatment of these fine instruments I have to say that I have not made a single adjustment to these basses since we began this tour. Every time I take them out of their cases , they play perfectly.
So....I wouldn't worry about hanging or casing or standing your basses. These things are built solid.

Temp changes

Dave
I recently toured Canada and the Midwest in with my SR5 and Bongo with some sub-zero temps at times, tweaking was minimal if at all, as those are drier environments.
I live in humid Atlanta Ga, and do several outdoor shows during spring and summer and find myself tweaking my trussrod 1/4 to 1/2 turn every show.
Horrible!!! it's not the Bass, it's environment, These basses are built to last
love em

Sub Zero temperatures in Canada? It has been spring where I live for about 6-8 weeks now. I was laughing when I heard they had snow recently in Georgia.

Yes Quebec, and your point? 5-6 below 0 at night for 3 nights in January.
And your point?

The further north you go the colder and drier it gets...so the point about how well the Bongo handled the temperature and humidity changes is a valid one. So the point about Vancouver being nice and mild is lost on me as well. (Just trying to rub something in maybe?)

Sterling Ball and his Music Man team build solid guitars. There, that's the point.
