Question Head-less Music Man bass?

Obviously I got nothing smarter to do right now (coffee break at work) instead to make some silly questions

So, here it is:

Does EBMM ever planed to produce some head-less basses like Status or something?

It would be so cool to have genuine Music Man bass with genuine wood work and original Hum-backers & preamps built in, but in head-less version!

I know that I'm bothering company workers and even BP as Sterling Ball personally, but just curious?

I think EBMM realised the looks of their basses are important as well, and in that context, headless was not an option

Why why why? Wha'ts wrong with having a nice headstock?

• Fitrst of all, double ball ends strings are more expensive and difficult to find in as many gauges as we do with EB strings
• The bridges with tuners at the end on the bass always get damaged when accidentally dropped or even when laid to rest on an A-Type frame
• They are usually FUGLY.

Not necessary, there are plenty of products (top locks, head-less tuners, etc.) for use with regular strings, so double ball end strings are not important!

I'm all for it - owned an early 90's composite Status graphite headless for a long time (great bass), and have always had a jonesing for a Steinberger...

Headless looks weird to me...I like the cosmetics on all the different EBMM bass guitars...so much so I want one of each!

I don't know about the rest of the bass playing market, but this is one forum member that is not interested in a headless bass.

I don't think you have to worry. I'd say the chances of this happening is zero. It's simply not a market that is screaming for another player. You're more likely to see a 7 string Stingray bass, and that will never happen, either.

I am firmly in the "headless basses are ugly" camp. However, I do on occasion need to fly to a gig, it would be cool to have a headless EBMM that could fit in an overhead compartment.

I'm sure for many reasons it will never happen.

The Bongo's matching headstock angle/body angles create a symmetrical appearance. The photoshop pic sure proves it.

I think it looks kinda cool

certainly would take care of all those scratches on the headstocks we all seem to get. Plus it would probably be easier to put in an overhead on a plane

I like headless basses in the right context. I used to play a Steinberger XL2 and should never have sold it. It couldn't hold a candle to my Bongos, but it did have its own appeal.

But that Photochop... I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Reminds me not a little of the stuff from German builder BassLab. ..::  BassLab - Basses and Guitars  ::..
